 Good Afternoon,

I received a message today from someone who was concerned that this blog had been abandoned. I guess it might look that way since we have not made a new posting for quite some time. But behind the scenes we have been updating the church listing when we receive new information about a church, or we add a new church to the listing. Additionally, there are times when someone from around the world sends a message looking for a free Bible, and I always do my best to refer the person to a good Baptist missionary in the country they live in. So today I am going to post the sermon outline I used in our morning service at Pleasant View Baptist Church of Republic, MO. There is nothing special about my outline, but you may find it of use in your ministry. I created it from a variety of sources I found in my research, so the thoughts in the message should be nothing that any of have never seen before.

By Being Certain of Your Salvation, You Can be Certain of God’s Love in Your Life

1 John 5:13-18

Introduction: I am going to attempt to take you on a journey to understand the subject of Assurance of Salvation. There are some questions I hope to find answers to this morning.

ü How can a person know if he or she is saved?

ü How can a person know if he or she has peace with God?

ü How can a person be assured of God’s love in their life?

ü How can a person maintain a healthy relationship with God, and have assurance their life if on a right status with God?

ü How can a person maintain their relationship with God amidst all of the disappointments and opposition of this life?

 1.     People often ask if they prayed the sinner’s prayer correctly.

A. A recent survey found that 50% of all Americans say they have prayed some kind of sinner’s prayer.

B.  Matthew 7:21-23 tells us that the Lord will turn away some folks who have a false profession of faith in Him.

C.   Religious activity alone can be accomplished without salvation. God saves us when we repent and believe the Gospel, Ro. 10:9-13.

2.    2.  It is not the prayer that saves, it is the transaction that takes place in the heart. (1 John 5:13-18)

A.    There are some more questions that we need to consider at this point in the discussion.

1)     Does God want us to know we are saved?

2)     How can we know for sure we are saved? There are some sound Biblical truths    that come from answering these questions.

3)     God does love us.

4)     We can develop a real love for God in our life.

5)     Real love for God grows in the rich soil of eternal security.

3. Scriptures to consider.

A.    John 14:18, He loves us and will comfort us as believers.

B.    John 14: 1-3, He loves us and has prepared a place for us in Heaven.

C.   1 John 4:18, the perfect loves He gives us casts our fear.

D.   1 John 4:19, as He loved us first, we can have a perfect love relationship with Him.

Conclusion:

ü God’s acceptance can liberate us from sin!

ü God’s acceptance is the power that liberates us!

ü God’s liberation is the power that gives us assurance of salvation!

ü You must place your hopes for Heaven entirely upon the finished work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary!

ü

ü             Once you are saved—you have a new nature in Christ, 2 Cor. 5:17!

1 John 1:10, you should no longer serve sin!

         Never allow the difficulties of this life to separate you from the Love of God, Prov. 24:16;
         Romans 8:35-39!

Hello Everyone,

Please accept my invitation for churches all across North America to provide me with information on special meetings you are holding. I will post them in a new section on the blog. This will help missionaries who hold to like faith and practice to know which churches may be looking for missionaries to support. In like manner, we invite missionaries to post their itinerary so churches can find them.

Amendment

Good Afternoon,

I guess I already made an oversight when I left Canada out of my first post. We also want to find churches all across Canada that are standing for the doctrines all of us hold so dearly.

Your Friend,

Kenneth Oster

Greetings

Good Afternoon,

As Bro. Clough has already informed you, I am taking over the responsibility for this blog. I want to assure you that I am in complete agreement with the doctrinal statement already established for the blog. I am a Civil Air Patrol Chaplain endorsed through the Unaffiliated Baptist Churches of America, directed by Dr. Ronald Tottingham. My number one focus is to continue the fine work already accomplished by Br. Clough, and to find as many pastors and churches as possible across the United States that hold to the doctrinal stand of this blog. It is far too easy for pastors and churches to stray away from the historical Baptist doctrines that we stand upon. I will leave you with this verse, "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." 1 Cor. 16:13

Very Respectfully,

Kenneth V. Oster

ATTENTION

This website will be changing hands at the end of September, 2017.  It's been a real privilege working on this site, and we know that it's been a blessing to many of you.  However, it's become more and more difficult for us to maintain the site and keep our information up-to-date, especially since we've been in Scotland for nearly five years!  We're currently corresponding with a man of like-faith and practice who is willing to take this ministry on.  We would appreciate your prayers, that the transition will go smoothly.

May the Lord bless you all,

The Clough Family to Scotland

Welcome

We have compiled a list of Independent, Unaffiliated Baptist churches in America and Canada. To the best of our knowledge, the churches we have listed are sound in the faith. To anyone wishing to use this website, we would suggest you first review our statement of faith by visiting our doctrinal page. As far as we know, the churches that we have listed also hold to the same basic doctrinal positions.

Obviously, we cannot guarantee that every church on this site is indeed of like-faith and practice. We're constantly reviewing the churches that are on this list, and we have other like-faith missionaries that keep us informed about the churches they visit while on deputation. With their help, we're able to keep this site relevant, and up to date.

Our intention is two fold: 1) to help connect sound missionaries with sound Baptist churches, and, 2) to help people find like-faith Baptist churches when they are far from home. We hope this is a blessing to you all!
